Attention:

The BERNINA Q16 machine is designed to work with a limited-size table while seated. The table is sold separately, with 2 different options available.

If you are interested in large-scale products (work is done standing and the machine head is mounted on a rail system), the BERNINA Q16 PLUS will be most suitable for you.

The Bernina Q16 quilting machine has a working area (distance from needle to machine) of 420 mm, allowing you to work on large textile projects. A height-adjustable folding table (sold separately, other options available) creates a comfortable workspace and saves space in your studio.

The Bernina Q16 features built-in sensors and a BSR stitch regulator, helping you achieve perfect stitch results. An integrated threader, start-stop function, and 50 LED lights provide convenient working conditions with this machine.

The unique user interface – machine settings and functions are controlled via intuitive touch on the screen, with a navigation system that includes built-in tutorials and help features.

BERNINA Stitch Regulator BSR

The BERNINA Stitch Regulator BSR facilitates free-motion quilting. The regulator ensures consistent stitches regardless of how slowly or quickly you quilt and how complex your quilt design may be.
Two internal BERNINA Stitch Regulator sensors allow for highly accurate detection of fabric movement. This is the first system without mechanical encoding devices.
The two sensors detect every fabric movement and adjust the stitch count accordingly from 1 to 24 stitches per inch.

The stitch regulator has three different modes:

• In the first mode, the needle continues to move even when you stop. This is especially useful when sewing corners.
• In the second mode, the needle stops when you stop, preventing knots on the reverse side—particularly helpful when quilting with rulers.
• The third mode is the “basting” stitch, where you can choose 1, 2, or 4 stitches per inch. The entire quilt can be quickly basted without pins.

The BERNINA Stitch Regulator is easy to activate and customize using the machine’s touch screen. A manual mode without stitch regulation is also available.

Suitable for household and twin needles
No special needles are needed, you can use regular household needles. You can also use a twin needle and a twin needle plate to achieve beautiful effects. Or experiment with two colors or threads of different shades, which will allow you to create wonderful 3D effects.
