The Liisa weaving loom is a large, traditional Scandinavian loom suitable for all types of weaving projects, from lightweight fabrics to heavy rugs. By default, Liisa is equipped with a standing beater, but a hanging beater can also be ordered. The large side opening allows easy access to the warp and tie‑up.

Liisa is most commonly used as a countermarch loom, but it can also be configured as a counterbalance loom. An optional cog‑wheel warp tension and release mechanism allows the weaver to adjust warp tension without leaving the bench. The warp beam with holders can be easily detached without dismantling the loom.

Liisa can be equipped with 4, 8, or 12 shafts (16 available by special order). Normally, the number of treadles matches the number of shafts, but other configurations are possible.

Additional options include computer control, a double warp and back beam, and a fly‑shuttle device.

Liisa looms are among the most popular in Finland. Developed from traditional Finnish looms, they are strong, reliable, and suitable for both hobby and professional use.

The standard package includes a Liisa bench (50 cm), rubber floor protectors, a cork plate, a scissor holder, a mallet for tightening wedges, and a user manual. Liisa is supplied with a lower beater and a cog‑wheel warp release mechanism, but an upper beater can be selected instead.
