YC6 allows knitting with four yarn colors simultaneously. The standard set includes a yarn tensioner for four colors.
The YC6 color changer is compatible with punch card and computerized 5-gauge Silver Reed machines, such as the SK280, whether used with a single or double needle bed.
Color changing process:
- When knitting a two-color pattern, the carriage automatically switches between the two colors as it moves.
- For three- or four-color patterns, you need to press the button corresponding to the desired color, and the yarn will switch automatically.
